L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids®
In 2018, Mike and Nancy Fujii founded the Family Peace Center (“FPC”) to serve the spiritual and practical needs of people in their communities, offering counseling, a kids’ ministry, and marriage and parenting resources through their trademarked development program, L.I.G.H.T. (Living in God’s Holy Truth)® As the kid’s ministry grew, they secured a second trademark, L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids®, to help families, schools, churches, and community leaders teach children Christian values and character. Both trademarks run as divisions of the Family Peace Center.

Since 2010, Nancy has served in various churches, schools, and communities, counseling and teaching children biblical truth and Christian character while showing them how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape the people they are becoming.
In 2023, Nancy launched L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® at Christian Heritage School for 200 students in grades K through 6. In 2024, She began teaching L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® at two churches through a multi-aged Sunday school program and a mentoring program for foster children ages 6 to 12.
Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Christian Counseling through Colorado Theological Seminary and received Christian spiritual formation and leadership accreditation from the Dallas Willard School for Kingdom Living.
MICHAEL P. FUJII
FAMILY PEACE CENTER CO-FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN & PRESIDENT
Mike is Co-founder, President, and Chairman of the Board of the Family Peace Center, Inc. (“FPC”), where he oversees the communication and implementation of FPC’s mission, vision, and overall direction. For the L.I.G.H.T Kingdom Kids program, he ensures that the Christian doctrine presented in the curriculum is biblically sound.
Mike is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Berkley Custom Insurance Managers LLC, a member of W.R. Berkley Corporation. He has over fifty years of experience in the specialty property casualty insurance industry, including thirty-five years as a chief executive officer and board member.
Mike serves on the board of other non-profit organizations, including Life Line Chaplaincy, Inc., which provides spiritual support to help Fairfield County’s First Responders (police, firefighters, and EMT) deal with emotional trauma and moral injury. He also serves on the board of India 600 Inc., contributing financially to the planting of Christian Churches in Gurgaon, North India (DBF Gurgaon), where less than 2% of the population is Christian. Mike also serves on the Christian Heritage Educational Foundation (CHEF) Board of Directors.
Mike holds an MDiv in Pastoral Counseling through Liberty University and a B.S. from Loyola University.
L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids® provides God-centered resources to lay the foundation of biblical truth and Christian values to develop character in children by teaching them how their thoughts, feelings, and actions (heart, soul, mind, and strength) shape the people they are becoming.
We partner with parents, churches, schools, and community leaders in our Connect-Teach-Model process.
We CONNECT with kids by sharing our thoughts, feelings, and life experiences to build trust while showing them how to care for others with compassion and empathy, putting others’ needs above their own through a wholehearted love for God.
We TEACH how relationship skills like making eye contact, speaking graciously, controlling our bodies, and respecting, accepting, and forgiving others will produce the Christlike character of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We MODEL how Jesus handled things like anger, pride, and forgiveness by acting out kids’ real-life experiences to show them in practical ways what having the character of Christ looks like and feels like in their lives.
Michael and Nancy Fujii create and fund all the digital and printed content and cover all expenses related to training seminars and speaking events for L.I.G.H.T. Kingdom Kids®. We invite you to pray for God’s continued financial provision and Mike and Nancy’s stewardship of this ministry.
